Employers
Castle Personnel’s Transition to Work has been providing school leaver programs for over ten years. During that time we have developed great working relationships with many Hunter Businesses; covering a diverse range of Industries and job types including: Retail, Video, Manufacturing, Cleaning, Aged Care, Grounds Maintenance, Office and Administration, Car Detailing, and Hospitality.
Our Host Employers cater for small groups of two to four clients to participate in work placement (experience) one day a week for period of one semester. This is fully supervised by one of Castles highly trained Support Workers. At the end of this period, the Host Employer completes a Workplace Performance Report which gives us critical information to assist our clients to become work ready.
We are not looking for paid employment from our Host Employers, just the opportunity for our clients to experience the workforce, gain the appropriate skills and knowledge to make an informed decision about their future job prospects. Australian Disability Enterprises
Castle has very good working relationships with all of the Hunter's Australian Disability Enterprises formerly known as supported employment businesses. Several of our clients have obtained and are successfully maintaining long term employment in Australian Business Enterprises.
Volunteer Organisations
Transition to Work have located and supported our clients in a range of volunteer positions, close to where you live and in the industry you have expressed an interest. This allows our clients to continue to maintain their work ethic and become valued members of the community.
Training Providers
Castle Personnel has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hunter Institute of TAFE. This means we are able to purchase whole courses and tailor them to the interests and needs of our clients. Some of the courses delivered by TAFE to date are: Kitchen Assisting, Bakery, Furniture Making, Spray Painting, Small Motors, Welding, Hair and Beauty.
